Yu-gi-oh Card Topics:
LightRay GearFried
Level 8
Attribute : Light
Type: Warrior
Attack/Defense: 2800/2200
Booster Pack: Galactic Overload as a Rare.
This card one of the five lightray monster that was released in Galactic overload. This monster can be special summoned by having 5 more light monsters with different names in your graveyard. This monster can’t be summon no other way. Its effect is what makes it really special, during either’s player turn, you can remove one warrior to negate and destroy one spell or trap. This effect happens once per turn. Also all monster you control must be of the warrior type to activate and resolve this effect.
Personal Note; Works well in light-based deck. If you would like to use this card for meta purposes, I would suggest a copy or two in a Lightsworn deck. Lightsworns get cards in the grave fast and there are bound to be a Jain, Garoth, or Ehren Lying in the grave. His attack is pretty decent being at 2800 plus with an Honest in your hand, well it would bad for your opponent. Negating spell and traps was obsolete as it was better to negate a monster summon or their effect. Gear fried can negate either but he can only do it once so choose wisely. Best of all that effect can be used on either player’s turn.

Cards I like : ButterSpy
Cards that interest Me: Butterspy
By Jynex Sol
May 14, 2012
Butterspy is an archetype that is composed of Monster Cards that lower attack and change battle Position
Monsters :
Moonlit Papillion: When it sent to the graveyard special summon one Level 4 or lower Butterspy monster from your deck.
Morpho Butterspy: When the battle position of a monster controlled by your opponent is changed, You can target one of those monster and it loses 1000 attack and defensive points. Note this is a permanent lose. Work with cards like zero gravity or stumbling.
Swallowtail Butterspy: The Main Beater in this Deck. When another monster you control inflicts battle damage to the opponent, target one other monster and it loses attack equal to the Battle damage that was inflicted.
Xyz Monster: Photon Papilloperative
Light Rank 4
` Atk/Def: 2100/1800
This monster came as rare in the booster pack here in the TCG. You can target on facedown monster and flip it up into Attack position. Then that monster loses 600 attack points.
Spell/Trap
Berserk Scales; It give one monster you control 1000 attack boost that last till the end of the turn. The down side to this card is that you cannot attack directly and lost 2000 attack points.
Butterflyoke- Trap: When an opponent monster declares an attack. Change that monster to defense position. After that you equip this card to that monster. Once per turn during the main or battle phase you can change the equip monster battle position. Also this effect can be activated on either players turn.
Deck Profile: Mist Valley By: Jynex Sol
May 14, 2012
The mist valley archetype are one of the three archetypes that were introduced in Hidden Arsenal 1. Their attribute is wind and they are mix of Winged-Beast and Thunder types. Most of the Mist Valley monsters revolves around returning cards back to the hand in order to activate their effects. When the first hidden arsenal came out, most people bought many packs to try to get their hands on one of the 3, Ally of Justice Catastor, Brionac, Dragon of the ice barrier, and Mist Wurm. Back then I was one of those many people trying to get those cards but I pulled Mist valley thunderbird a lot. Although it got me upset to get that card and not a Brionac, it made me think. The cards I thought were useless ended up being worth it in the end. This deck isn’t that hard to make and its not a meta deck. If you put forth the effort, one day it could be a meta deck. In my person opinion I believe that this deck is purely for casual play.
There aren’t that many Mist valley monsters so it limits on what you can do with them.
Main cards to use in this deck are:
- *Mist valley Thunderbird- The key to this deck. it can special summon itself when it is returned from the field to the hand. He cannot attack when this effect is activated.
- *Mist Valley Falcon- Main level 4 beater of this deck and has 2000 base attack. He can only attack when you return one card you control. Meaning any card that YOU control (monster, Spell, Trap,). Works well with thunderbird, Call of the Haunted, and Swords of Revealing Light for instant reuse.
- Mist Condor- Very easy summoning condition by returning one face-up mist valley monster you control. When that happens, the attack goes up from 1400 to 1700.
- Mist Valley Soldier- (Tuner) Level 4. If he attacks a monster and the monster that Soldier attacked is not destroyed then the monster is then returned to the hand.
- Mist Valley Shaman- (Tuner) Level 3. She can return one other monster that you control to give herself a 500 attack boost. This effect is handy when thunderbird is on the field. By returning thunderbird you can make her 1700 attack, plus thunderbird will special summon itself giving you access to a level 6 synchro monster.
- Mist Valley Apex Avian- Boss Monster of the mist valley. This monster is more like a mother to the thunderbird. When an effect is activated, by returning one face-up mist valley monster the effect is negated and the card is destroyed. Work well with thunderbird and you can do this more than once per turn.
- *Divine Winds of Mist Valley- The Field spell gives Mist Valley a Boost. This card is like “Black Whirlwind” but for mist valley. Once Per turn whenever a wind monster is returned to the hand, you can special summon one level 4 or lower wind monster from your deck. This card gives you options.
- Mist valley Thunder Lord( Synchro)
Level 7 Atk/Def 2600/2400
Once during either player’s turn you can return one card that you control from the field to the hand to give this monster 500 attack until the end of the turn. Makes cards like call of the haunted re-usable. Another tip would be: by returning thunderbird or another wind attributed monster back to the hand while divine winds of mist valley is on the field you can get its’ effect during either player’s turn.
- Mist Wurm(Synchro)
Level 9 Atk/Def 2500/1500
When this monster is summoned you can return up to 3 card your opponent controls.
Personal Note: Helps when you really need it and the only mist valley card that is expensive. ON T&T it goes for about $ 15.00.
Other cards you can use with this deck:
Genex Ally Birdman- (Tuner) special summon itself by returning a face up monster back to hand and if it’s a wind type it goes up by 500 attack. Thunderbird compatible
Quill Pen of Gulldos, This card can return two wind types monster from the grave to the deck and return one wind monster back to the hand.
Winged Rhynos- he can return himself back to hand when a trap is activated. Note: its’ effect is optional and works well with divine winds.
Brionac, Dragon of the ice barrier- By discarding a card you can return a monster to you your hand. if you return your opponent’s wind attributed monster then you get the effect of divine winds.
Compulsory Evacuation Device- Returns a monster to the hand.
Well here is the end of the profile folks, I hope I was very detailed in my report and Hopefully there are more Deck profiles in the future.
Until then, Be Random and Be your self
